Fasouri Watermania is the largest waterpark in Cyprus, sitting in the Fasouri citrus plantations west of Limassol, a 15-minute drive from the centre. The setting is the surprise: the park is laid out among the orange and grapefruit groves of the Fasouri estate, with more than 100,000 mature trees around and through the rides — meaning there is real shade between attractions, which on a Cyprus August day is not a luxury but a survival feature.
The tropical-Polynesia theming is consistent across more than 35 rides: family raft rides, a 25-metre-high kamikaze speed slide, a black hole flume, wave pools, a lazy river, a children's pirate area with mini-slides, and a number of newer high-thrill drops added in the last few years. There is genuine variety for all heights and ages, which makes Fasouri the better choice than Aphrodite Waterpark in Ayia Napa for older children and teenagers. Restaurants are arrayed Polynesian-style with thatched roofs.
Insider tips. Buy tickets online ahead — small discount, no queue. Friday and Saturday are full in July-August; Tuesday-Wednesday are notably quieter. Lockers cost extra (around 5 EUR with deposit). The park is large — wear flip-flops for walking between rides. Lunch the cheap way: a pre-park visit to the small bakery in nearby Erimi village beats the in-park food prices.
Combinations. Pair with Kourion (10 minutes south) if the adults want archaeology while teenagers slide; or with the Cyprus Wine Museum at Erimi (5 minutes) for an unusual contrast day. Limassol old town is 15 minutes east for the evening.
Bring. Reef-safe sunscreen (water-park appropriate), water shoes for hot surfaces, a hat, a refillable water bottle, towels, and a small dry bag for valuables. When. Open May to October. Late June or early September are the best balance of warm water and tolerable queues. Fasouri is, in scale and quality, comparable to a mid-sized Spanish or Greek waterpark and the most ambitious water-themed day out on Cyprus.
